“A kiss is just a kiss”. So goes the famous song. But a kiss is more than just a meeting of the lips. As time goes by. A kiss is risky. A kiss is dangerous. A kiss is a death sentence.

Deconstructing one of the most intimate human gestures - a kiss, as the title suggests - is never just a kiss. Set within a landscape of red theatre chairs and accompanied by live sound, two performers move between visibility and erasure, exposing the fragile boundaries between human and the object. Through fragmented movement and shifting perspectives, the performance explores the politics of touch, the mechanics of intimacy, and the violence hidden within tenderness. When the bodies finally meet, the act of kissing becomes both connection and confinement — a moment of beauty that carries the weight of extinction.
